Hi Robbor, re the BBC site. No probs connecting from NZ. Maybe the Aussie govy banned it 'cos all the sports info is how England will win the World Cup? Yeah right! -K1W1
I'm not sure I like being called a monkey... -scooby111
I agree with you about the tech songs. They're okay if it's one or two, but when it's 5-6 in a row, it's excessive. I don't think it should stop entirely, but I'm with ya. :) -dreaming78
You are a very sad individual to feel the need to send me insulting emails simply because we do not agree on the format of a picture. Get a life! -Jenzkind
Sidney - *dumps some very old brain cells* - yup, in town for the 1964 Celebration of the Battle of the Coral Sea. US Aircraft Carrier Coral Sea also visiting. Two US sailors get mugged - NewsPaper Headlines, "We can't do this to our American Friends" (Coral Sea had more Aircraft than entire Australian AirForce & Australia was in a cold war with Indonesia over (New Guinea?) Ever since then, my youngest brothet has this habit of going into the wrong Bars in SE Asia. - seems like no matter which Bar he picks, he gets beat up by the Australia Navy. Oh Well, not your fault. -satanstech

Yes, there's a difference between a DB25M serial and DB25F parallel port. :D That's one thing I'm happy about with current system designs - they use DB9M for the serial ports in almost all cases now. Working by touch doesn't cause that problem anymore.... -Grue
robbor, there's a very good reason it's flash and not a gif. You'll understand when you finally figure out what's wrong. -ThirdOfFive
Robbor -- what tubes / electrolytics do you have, and how big a disk are you looking for in trade? -chazz
Nope, the sysadmin was affected by this change too. -psychotech
10 yr old HD? mine system was built in 99- so 6 years on a celery 350 overclocked to 450 and going strong... smokin, drinkin, tryin toease my mind. -HappyCrappy
Robbor: re: pakleds. One episode of ST:TNG (first season, IIRC) had a race of people who were found in a disabled starship. They kept repeating things like "We cannot make it go. You are smart. Make it go." and ended up kidnapping Geordi. They sound so much like starfish that we have rather made a mascot of them on the site... -chazz
