No prblem with HS dropouts at all. My ex wife is one. Many of them are more capable than the college grads that I work with. I was merely talking like a CEO thinks. -scooby111
hey mr thou! it's me, Elrick! i'm on these boards as well!:) -Elrick
You simply MUST share the grape/micro trick with the class. :D -burrkiss
Re: Your comment on story called "Tech Support = 911". Are you sure you want to mouth off about On Site Techs? Given the fact that a LOT of field tech started out on the phones, we know how it is on your side of the femnce....fortunately they have progressed past the "script monkey" job that some find themselves in at present. We are all on the same side & as such we should be having a laugh at the Lusers' expense, not calling each other names. -lineswine
Hi there, mind if I ask who your employer is? Email me back at ttjknapp@hotmail.com. Sante, Stpatience -stpatience
MrThou, you can stop google's popup blocker by either holding down the ctrl key as the page loads, or clicking on the button that says "# blocked" on the google toolbar. Hope this helps with whatever site you're having trouble with. -DreadPirate
AND NO SINGING!![/Python] -Darth
You were raised on Monty Python? So was I. I thought that would be grounds for having kids taken by Social Services these days, but I'm glad my parents did it while they could. :P -teivrann
MrThou: The unsubscribe link on spam usually works. Unfortunately, occasionally it doesn't. On those occasions when it doesn't, it is verification of your email address being used by one of the big hairy spammers. My clients' experience has been that, if 1% of unsubscribe links don't work, each nonworking one will result in 200-400 new "subscriptions". So while never clicking an unsubscribe link may result in a month-over-month growth on the order of 5%, always clicking on them may equally easily result in a month-over-month growth of 200%, if you get unlucky. -chazz
I only have room for one stalker sorry ;( I will however keep your resume on file and let you know if a spot opens up! ;p -discordkitty
Microsoft Bob was an OS shell designed to be something like user-obsequious (more than user-friendly) Windows. It was a horrible dumbing-down of the computer, and it deserved to die. A running joke in MS in '97 is that Clippie (the paper clip assistant in MS Office 97) was the only piece of Bob code that was ever re-used. -chazz
Mr.Thou, for having a cool Gau/Cyan reference for a name AND using the bonus word 'fucktard' you get like, a billion points. Now, granted these points arent *worth* anything, but it's the thought that counts, right? -Galin
So you think I work with one of the coolest people you've ever met? Who would that be? -Bynar
Asking if I know Karla would be like an american asking us if we knew pete from canada. ;) This is one of the biggest call centers in the company. (1500+ employees) -Bynar
MIKEY KICKS ASS!! Hi mikey. Wow I'm a cool person? Your cool to mikey! *hugs*hugs* You make the day go by so much faster when I have you to talk to. Altho I must admitt, since I've been talking to you my aht has gone way up. oh well. Your worth it. -Piccola
(laughs) Cute. Why do you hate Valentines Day? -Warrick
I won't complain about spelling. I'm only demanding of my own spelling. :P -teivrann
Concerning your Rogers rant. I had Rogers at one point in time. I dumped them for the same reason. I had just moved into a new neighbourhood. There were 4 (FOUR!) of us on the hub. Myself, the Rogers video store, and 2 other clients. My connection and 1 other (randomly pick from the other 3) would cut out for no reason. No outages. No conflicts. No amount of troubleshooting on their end would fix it. It would just come back on. I dumped them when I found out that their own store kept having problems -SwedishChef
Trouble is the only thing I seem to have a licence to kill is time. -HPsauce
From what I can gather, you're probably just down the hall from where I am. -soccerdude
